In this post, I'm showing the vision board and final brand board I created last summer using How to Style Your Brand, by Fiona Humberstone.

Humberstone's process is very accessible and her explanations of logo design and type are some of the best I've encountered.

The first half of the book is about planning. Following Humberstone's clear, detailed brand development process, I created a vision board, which is supposed to convey the intended look and feel of my brand.

In the second half of the book, Humberstone describes how to develop the many components of your brand identity and capture them on a single page, or brand board. One of my favorite parts of the book is all the different company brand boards. I learned so much from studying them! Here is my final brand board for Five Patch Design:
