Pansies were my favorite flower as a child. I loved their velvety petals and deep, saturated colors. Plentiful in our garden, pansies made sweet bouquets, which I assembled in vases and placed around our house. With this collection, I’m putting away my references and painting from memory, imagination, and intuition. My intention with these loose, colorful watercolors is to capture the feeling of carefree summers filled with freedom and beauty.
